Chimney Cap Repair & Installation
The cap is a small part with a big job: it keeps rain, snow, animals, and debris out of the flue, and its screen helps hold sparks in. A missing or damaged cap lets all of that straight into your chimney.
What a good cap does
A cap sits over the flue opening and blocks water from pouring directly into the chimney, keeps birds and small animals from nesting inside, and screens embers at the top. Because it takes the full brunt of the weather, it's also one of the first components to rust or blow loose.
Repair or replace
Sometimes a cap just needs refastening; sometimes rust or damage means it's time for a new one. We fit caps to the flue and chimney so they seat properly and stand up to Colorado wind and snow.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need a chimney cap?
A cap is one of the most cost-effective ways to keep water, animals, and debris out of a flue, which helps protect the rest of the system.
Why did my cap rust so quickly?
Caps take constant exposure to moisture and temperature swings. Material and fit both affect how long a cap lasts.
